Community Involvement

New Look Eyewear has been a leader in the optical field for over 25 years. We firmly believe that it is our duty to give back to the community. That is why we get involved each year with causes whose missions are to simplify eye care for the community. 

Each year, the Eye Disease Foundation helps numerous persons see better by contributing to the funding of several research projects on eye diseases. The foundation also has developed an awareness program called “Participe pour voir”.

New Look Eyewear has proudly been supporting the Eye Disease Foundation for more than six years now. With the ongoing involvment of New Look's President, Mr. Martial Gagné, also Chairman of the board of the foundation, New Look Eyewear is now a major partner of the Eye Disease Foundation.

An active contribution!

Each year, New Look Eyewear actively participates in various projects on behalf of the foundation such as benefit dinner and shows, contest ticket sales, and the “Participe pour voir” program.

Launched in February 2006, the objective of the « Participe pour voir » program is to raise the awareness of parents throughout Québec regarding the importance of their children’s sight.

Each year, the Eye Disease Foundation visits several elementary schools in Québec to screen children for vision problems and eye diseases. The program also provides free eyeglasses to children whose parents cannot afford to purchase them.

This program is possible due to the generosity of volunteer optometrists and of its major partners, such as New Look Eyewear and Essilor.

To date, New Look Eyewear has contributed more than $200,000 to the foundation. The reason for this success is the devoted team of New Look employees who have taken this very important cause to heart.

Since 2008, New Look Eyewear has made a committment to the Fond de développement du Collège Édouard-Montpetit. This organisation’s mission is to support and assist in the development of student opticians as well as to promote the optician profession.

Since February 2009, New Look Eyewear provides financial support to the Fondation du Collège François-Xavier-Garneau. This organisation’s mission is to promote the optician profession by allowing its students to have access to financial support and modern equipment, thus promoting the development of optician students in the region of Québec as well as to their success.
